The Opportunity
Universities, teachers, and educators in the WordPress space need to provide blank WordPress installations for their students to practice in. This can be a convoluted process depending on hosting environments and technical expertise.
The Ask
To create a platform that allows educators to create blank WordPress installations for their students within minutes and with just a click.
The Challenge
The project's central challenge was accomplishing the complex task of creating blank installations. WordPress provides a command line interface that allows installations to be created but to interface that with an easy to use environment can be a daunting task.
The Solution
For final solution, we relied again on ChatGPT. When guided properly, its coding skills can rival those of any coder. The final product provides educators with an easy to use environment they can use to track students, their assignments, and the sites they create and maintain. The temporary sites can be created or deleted with just a click. On top of that, educators can assign teachers to specific classes and even communicate with students via newsletters which can be sent out to specific classes or students.
Overcoming Challenges
This was a complex project in that we had to figure out how to communicate between servers. The second part was creating a design which was appealing to students and educators.
