Membership Tracking Application

The Opportunity

A catholic charity in Duncanville Tx requires members to receive yearly training in creating a safe environment for members and the community they serve. It also requires members to sign up for bi-annual background checks. Each chapter currently manages their own process in different ways making it difficult to track this data on a national level.

The Ask

To provide an online experience that allows chapter admins to track membership, safe environment trainings, and background checks. The system also need to be easy-to-use as most members were much older and lacked computer and web application experience.

The Challenge

The project's central challenge was creating a system that was easy-to-use for anyone. Alerts, notifications, and carefully crafted interface design  would need to be carefully crafted to ensure a smooth experience for users of the system.

The Solution

Again we employed the power of WordPress to provide a solid foundation for the application. We were able to build a custom plugin that allowed administrators to track membership. The system reminds users that it is time to sign up for a scheduled training or to request a background check. The initial system will be rolled out to one chapter and will eventually be rolled out on a national basis.

Overcoming Challenges

Constant communication with the client was key in getting this project across the finish line. As always, our number one goal is to ensure that the client is 100% happy with the final product.

Valuable Lessons

This project taught us to push the limits on creating a complex yet easy to use solution by staying in constant contact with the client. The final solution turned out to be exactly what the client was asking for.
